The actor took to Instagram to urge people to respect their boundaries and avoid relentless speculation.Describing the incident as an “incredibly challenging day,” Kareena shared that her family is still processing the traumatic event.

She emphasised that the constant scrutiny has become overwhelming and posed significant risks to their safety. “It has been an incredibly challenging day for our family, and we are still trying to process the events that have unfolded. As we navigate this difficult time, I respectfully and humbly request that the media and paparazzi refrain from the relentless speculation and coverage,” Kareena wrote.

She further added, “While we appreciate the concern and support, the constant scrutiny and attention are not only overwhelming but also pose a significant risk to our safety. I kindly request that you respect our boundaries and give us the space we need to heal and cope as a family.”

The actor concluded her statement by thanking everyone for their understanding and support during this sensitive period. “I would like to thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation during this sensitive time,” she wrote.

The shocking incident occurred early Thursday morning at Saif and Kareena’s residence on the 12th floor of a luxury apartment building in Bandra, Mumbai. Around 2:30 am, an intruder gained access to their home, where he reportedly demanded ₹1 crore. Police clarified the rumours surrounding the case but confirmed that Saif, 54, was attacked and sustained multiple injuries. The assailant repeatedly stabbed Saif, resulting in six injuries, including two deep wounds. One of the knife injuries was dangerously close to Saif’s spine. Following the attack, Saif’s staff quickly transported him to Lilavati Hospital in an auto-rickshaw.

Doctor’s statement on the same

Dr Niraj Uttamani, the hospital’s chief operating officer, informed the media that Saif underwent emergency surgery to remove the knife lodged near his spine. “Saif is stable and out of danger,” Dr Uttamani said, adding that the actor is now recovering. This distressing incident has raised concerns about safety and privacy for celebrities in Mumbai.
